Another one to imagine, being at the last supper and being told one of you would betray Jesus, Jesus! That you will hurt the one man who loved you unconditionally, but you can look at it as what we do to others who we say we love. We can hurt them without second guessing it then once it’s done guilt comes to the forefront just as Judas did. We can’t say we could imagine hurting Jesus but we can do it each day without question. When I think about that my heart breaks because I know personally I have and I know I’m human and make mistakes but it doesn’t change how I should act. I can only pray that my Father forgives me and I do better.

It's pretty common for everyone that we always seem to be the hardest on the ones who love us most. I think it's just because we know we have that safety net, that whatever we say or do, they love us enough to overlook it or get over it eventually. As most everyone knows, our communion service in the church was established from the last supper and for me, this is one of the hardest teachings in the Bible. I'm not alone in this I think because if we go back into the scriptures we see that Jesus lost a lot of followers when He introduced this teaching that we had to drink His blood and eat His flesh: Now, I'll grant you, I believe back in Jesus' time, the reason the people had a problem with this teaching was because they probably took the words of Jesus literally, so of course it would be hard because it sounds like cannibalism when you take it literally. My trepidations have always come from the words of Paul: Personally, I know that the blood of Jesus covers my sins; past, present and future. Yet still I continue to struggle with Paul's statement that when we take communion unworthily we are eating and drinking damnation to ourselves and that it is also a reason why so many in the church get sick or pass away. That's just a terrifying thought I've never been able to get past, so honestly, I pass on communion most of the time. I do pray that the Lord give me understanding on this because I want to "do this in remembrance" as Jesus put it, but it still scares me to this day.
